Faulty goods…Appalling Customer Service

I wrote to Camper weeks ago...I had purchased a pair of shoes for approx £140.00 thinking they would be comfortable walking shoes as pairs bought years ago were...So upsetting, I had planned on going into London wearing them to visit my husband in hospital and before I even got on the train had blisters so bad...The pain was unbearable...Went through loads of blister plasters and had to buy a new pair of socks because they were just slicing my heels with every step...Camper asked for details and said the shoes have a two year guarantee...Now it seems they don't...Disgusting customer service and completely inferior footwear...Waste of time...My husband has cancer by the way and this is such an upsetting experience at this time...

Update 12th September...emailed details to Camper as requested still nothing...so disappointing...£140.00 down the drain...

Never received my order- horrible online customer service!

I would like to preface this review by saying that my Camper shoes (bought over a year ago through a third party website) are the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever worn. My one star rating does not reflect the shoes Camper make, but their online customer service experience. I have never had so many issues ordering something online, especially from a reputable company like Camper.

I ordered a pair of sandals at the beginning of August from Camper. These shoes were never delivered to me. The courier claimed to have attempted to deliver them three times, despite the fact I was at home during all three attempts. They were then sent back to Camper and I had to wait 3 weeks for a refund. I called the Camper customer service number twice during this time ask about my order and refund. I could hear the woman who answered the phone was watching TV both times I called and was clearly not listening to me properly. She offered no apology and simply told me to place my order again and that I would be refunded once they received the returned parcel.

I ordered the sandals again and had similar issues with the courier as my full address had not been printed on the box. The parcel was finally delivered to me, however when I opened it the sandals looked nothing like the pair I had ordered and were completely the wrong colour. I wrote a complaint via email over two weeks ago and never received a response.

If you are going to buy Camper shoes do NOT buy through their website. Their shoes are fantastic but their online customer service is absolutely appalling. I have returned the sandals now and doubt I will receive a return within the next month if at all.

Absolutely appalling service

Received the wrong colour shoes. Phoned customer service and waited 20 minutes before the phone disconnected. Tried again several times before unfortunately getting through to customer service. Was told that I'd have to have them collected but they couldn't replace them because of "Brexit" asked why and was told I should know better than them because I live in the UK. The agent then started speaking in Spanish and I asked what she was saying. She informed me she wasn't speaking to me and it was "none of my business". I asked to speak to a manager and was told they had all gone for a break. Then I was told there was nothing more they could do and they hung up. Very rude, unprofessional and incompetent service.

*Update*

Called Camper this morning as hadn't received a call back from a manager as promised this morning. Spoke to someone who said they aren't allowed to let me speak to a manager and that they were wasting their time talking to me before hanging up the phone.

Missing Refund… Sorted out! :)

EDIT! Thanks Camper for promptly fixing the return mistake and processing the remaining refund, following my initial review. For this, I'm bringing back some stars! Despite the (now resolved) issue, the Customer service was always friendly, and we love our sandals (great quality & designs). Happy days!

First time and never again

I ordered the Misia dark orange x-strap sandal from a website called Heppo, after a month of trying to adjust to them, I stopped wearing them 2 weeks ago when I was on a day out suffering from these nightmare sandals. Luckily there was Ecco nearby and bought the most comfy sandals ever. Every time I wore those Camper sandals that cost me nearly £100 my feet were always bleeding, my toes hurting from the material pressing on them. I have 2 dark scars on both feet from the shoes. Also due to my hyperhidrosis condition, my feet sweat a lot during the summer and I never had any issue with any shoes before because of my excessive sweating BUT this one left me feeling insecure as the material was staining from the sweat. I tried removing the stains in many ways and nothing worked. I am trying to get a refund from Heppo but they’re telling me it’s not the default of the shoe which sounds as if my health condition which I was born with is my fault and the material of this sandal which gave me a skin bite every time I wore it is also my fault, I would love to know how, why, what, etc. Throughout my life I have never worn something so bad, the fact that I have scars on both feet proves it.

If it was possible to give no stars I…

If it was possible to give no stars I would but the lowest option is one . The worst customer service of any company I’ve ever dealt with . Delivery good of sale item Sandals but since then trying to return as too small ( ordered size 8 they sent 41 )
Drive to DHL drop off but told they don’t do anymore next nearest one miles . Spent ages on phone trying to speak to someone at customer service . Sent DHL twice to collect from us .Printed all the paperwork they sent me but apparently incorrect . Have emailed customer services over 10 times . Response rate rubbish .Have wasted so much time on this . Such a shame I used to love Camper .
Was going to use my day of to go to Camper Covent Garden but now rail strike 🙄
Started this whole process 25th July . Thinking is this the way they go about avoiding giving refund because people loose the will to live 🤪 would be funny except it just isn’t .Surely someone at Camper is interested in all these negative comments . Customer service is so key . Having to return or a faulty item not an issue but the terrible service is . Will never order from again .

Mucho ruido y pocas nueces

Still no reply despite the fact they have had my email address since 16th July. Really smiley reply, but yet again NO ACTION. I bought a bag on the 16th July, this was badly scratched and dirty. I spoke to their customer care as this was a special birthday present. After trying for some weeks to resolve the matter, the only solution available to ask for a refund, despite me asking lots of times, they said yes and do nothing, I am still waiting for my refund

Uninformed customer service

I am currently in the process of returning my pelotas. I have wanted these shoes for the longest time. Finally, I was able to purchase them after saving up. I tried to sign up for the lifetime guarantee that comes with the pelotas but that is where the trouble begins. Not only did the customer service not explain to me how to fix the issue but they also don’t seem to care to go out of their way to help a customer. The shoes are of good quality but I can’t say the same about the staff.

I tried to return the shoes and they disappeared

In response to your query, I have already contacted Camper via e-mail and the issue has still not been resolved

I bought a pair of shoes from Camper. As the shoes were too small, I decided to return them. I dropped the shoes off at a local drop-off point in July 2022 for DHL to collect them. At the drop-off point, they did not bother scanning the item, simply asked me to leave it along with a few other packages. Since then, I have not received any confirmation from Camper about getting the shoes back. I contacted both DHL and Camper to track down the package, but so far, I have had no response from them.

worst return experience

It's been the worst return experience I have in years. Very irresponsible team who didn't know or own their return process at all.
